Golden Retriever - Large - Young - Male - Dog - Good as Gold
Description
Good as gold, heart of gold, Deuce has both. Deuce has been adopted 3 times, 2 by air force families that adopted him then had to leave the country so they just brought Deuce back to the shelter. The day I met Deuce a man was looking at him. The shelter brought out Deuce and a big frisky 5 mo. old puppy. I watched Deuce with the puppy, he let the puppy jump all over him, bite him, anything and Deuce had no complaints not even a frown. So the man decided to adopt Deuce. 3 days later I was at the shelter, I mentioned Deuce's name and they told me he was back, the man that adopted Deuce had him for 1 day and said he could not stand it because Deuce would not eat so the man could not stand it but he could stand to take Deuce back to the shelter. Sometimes it may take a dog a few days to get use to things at their new home, when I foster a dog and that dog does not want to eat then they don't eat and when that dog is hungry which takes about the 2nd day then they will eat. I went to the shelter to get some other dogs out but I said that was it, Deuce is coming home with me too. I took the photos fast outside at the shelter and in my car because it is raining and they will do but later I will take more of Deuce. All I can say is Deuce is a wonderful Golden mix boy that is about a year old and very easy going. He will put his paw up and on your lap too shown in photo, he is such a sweet gentleman. It was that man's loss and my gain because I will get Deuce adopted to the best home ever! Society Waggers is a network of foster homes and has no facility with set hours to visit.
